Formed in 1993, Cutthroat quickly became a fixture in the Albany, NY underground, sharing stages with bands such as Machine Head, Hatebreed, Madball, Crowbar, Stuck Mojo, Suffocation, and Brutal Truth. After early demos and live shows helped sharpen their sound, the band found its identity in 1995 with the release of Hate Breeds Rage, originally released on Ruffneck Records. The album followed the Swollen Shut cassette from the same year and marked a defining moment in the band’s evolution.

Hate Breeds Rage documents Cutthroat’s years in the 1990s metalcore underground, blending hardcore aggression with heavy, groove focused metal. These tracks capture a raw, direct sound rooted in urgency and intensity that defined the era.

Now available for the first time ever on vinyl, Hate Breeds Rage has been newly remastered from the original DAT tape by Svante Forsbäck (Chartmakers). Pressed in a strictly limited run of 300 copies on Ash Smoke vinyl, this release offers longtime fans a definitive vinyl edition of a key chapter in the band’s history.
