Wax Assault Records is an independent record label based out of Albany, New York, focused on reissuing overlooked underground metal classics on physical formats. Vinyl is our primary focus, with select releases on CD and cassette.

Year after year, we noticed that many great albums were not being reissued. As fans and collectors, this was something we wanted to change. In 2025, Wax Assault Records was born.

Our goal is to create high quality physical editions that respect the original recordings and history of each release.

How We Approach Reissues

Every Wax Assault Records release is produced with a focus on accuracy, quality, and value. Audio is prepared by experienced, respected mastering engineers that is tailored specifically for each format. We review every master closely before moving forward to make sure it meets our high quality of standards.

We take great care in restoration and layout designs to create authentic presentations that respect the original releases.

Bottom line, we do not rush any project. If a release can’t be done properly, it doesn’t get released.

Wax Assault Records is run by people who actively collect records. Sound quality and presentation matter to us because they matter to the experience of enjoying physical media.

These are the releases we want on our own shelves and that standard drives everything we do.
