Vinyl records are fragile items, and cosmetic damage such as seam splits, corner dings, jacket wear, or sleeve damage can occur during transit—even when packaging appears intact.

Damage that occurs during shipping is the responsibility of the carrier and is not eligible for refunds or replacements.

If you believe your record has a manufacturing defect that renders it materially unplayable, please contact us within 7 days of delivery with clear photos. Eligible defects may qualify for a replacement, or a refund if a replacement is not available, subject to review.

While we are not responsible for carrier-related damage, we may assist by providing documentation or guidance for filing a carrier claim where possible.

A manufacturing defect is an issue that renders the record materially unplayable.

The following do not qualify as defects:

  • Seam splits, corner dings, jacket or sleeve wear
  • Cosmetic imperfections
  • Minor surface noise or occasional pops
  • Color variation or opacity differences
  • Minor warping that does not affect playback
  • Playback issues related to equipment setup
  • Damage caused during shipping or customs inspections

Refunds are issued only when an item is eligible and a replacement is not available. Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method.

Shipping charges are non-refundable once an order has shipped. If a refund is issued prior to shipment (for example, due to an unfulfilled preorder), shipping charges will be refunded.

Once tracking confirms delivery, Wax Assault Records is not responsible for lost or stolen packages. Customers must contact the shipping carrier directly to file a claim.

Yes. All items sold through Wax Assault Records are official releases.

Titles released by Wax Assault Records are officially licensed and produced by Wax Assault Records. We may also carry official releases from other labels or rights holders, which are identified on the product page.
