Originally released in 1989 on Century Media, Depression is the debut album from Swiss thrash metal band Poltergeist - a sharp, technical and melodic slice of late '80s European thrash that combines razor edged riffing, intricate arrangements and aggressive speed with a strong sense of melody.

Drawing from both the precision of USA thrash and the raw intensity of the European scene, Depression established Poltergeist as a distinctive force in the late ’80s European thrash scene.

This limited edition has been newly mastered for vinyl in 2026 by Svante Forsbäck and includes an exclusive new 2026 interview with guitarist and founding member V.O. Pulver, looking back at the band, the making of Depression, and Poltergeist's early years.
